Meet our experienced and friendly staff who make Newport Optical the leading provider of vision care products and services in Newport.
Aimee Martineau, Certified Paraoptometric
Aimee Martineau joined Newport Optical in June 2013. She moved here from Plattsburgh, NY in December 2012. She has been continuing her education to become a Certified Paraoptometric which she accomplished in March of 2022. She is continuing her education to further her certification.
Aimee loves helping patients with all the extra testing that they may need. She enjoys interacting with all our patients and helping provide services the doctors may need throughout
the day.
Aimee currently lives in Beebe Plain with her fiance, her son just moved into an apartment in Newport. In her free time Aimee enjoys camping, in Concord, VT with all her friends and four-wheeling on the weekends. You can find Aimee in the summer mostly on the back of a motorcycle enjoying the scenery with her fiance. She can also be found at motorcycle rallies soaking up the environment and shopping.
Tara Selby, Licensed Optician
Tara Selby joined Newport Optical in December of 1999. Tara’s desire to continue her education led her to enroll in the Optician’s course through Community College of Vermont, where she graduated with her Associates Degree in Applied Science. Tara became a licensed optician in Vermont shortly after graduation. She is a proud member of The Vermont Opticians Association and The Opticians Association of America.
Tara enjoys working with customers to select the right style eyewear and lens style to fit their vision and lifestyle needs. She performs adjustments, repairs and manages the in-house edging laboratory where, in most cases, same day services can be rendered.
Tara currently resides in Morgan with her husband, Son, Pup Remy and Cat Reese. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, boating on Lake Seymour, spending time in her gardens and camping in Maine.
Sheila Butler-Kepler, Licensed Optician
Sheila is one of our Licensed Opticians. She has been with us since 2005.
In her free time she enjoys being in the outdoors.
Krystal, Optical Trainee
Krystal joined our optical team in the summer of 2022.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, baking and spending time outdoors.
Sabrina Brown, Optical Trainee, Technician Trainee, Reception
Sabrina has been with Newport Optical since 2019, she is currently cross training throughout our office. You might find her at the reception desks, assisting you in your Optical needs or even as a technician preparing your eyes for the Dr!
When not at the office she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, health/wellness coaching and traveling.
Dawn, Scheduler
Dawn is our scheduler and has been with us since 2012.
In her spare time she likes crafting and family time.
Brittney Burdick, Office Manager
Brittney, the office manager brings 8+ years of experience working in the Ophthalmic field. She is always ready to take on the next task and looks forward to bringing cheer to the office each day!
Books, coffee, sunshine, and time with her family are a few of the things she enjoys the most!
